I WENT TO AMERICA.

So for my Geography field trip with uni we went to LA, the Mojave desert, Death Valley and Las Vegas. Basically everyone should pick this as their degree.

As I'm the social secretary and social media executive of my University fashion society, a new project I'm working on is shooting street style photos for our blog, so I thought why not share it with this blog too as it might give me motivation to post more often. Here is a preview of the kind of shots I'll be posting, starting below with my attempt at an Alexa Chung-esque mirror selfie.

Thought I would do a quick post on my inspiration and what I will be wearing this Autumn.

Leather is always a must for Autumn, be it in the form of a trusty biker jacket or sporty leather look trousers,

Brogues are going to be big this Autumn. They're great for making a casual outfit look a bit more sophisticated, they're not just for business men. They can even be worn to suit the sport luxe trend (see below). 

GRUNGE

At the moment, I'm a girl who's style can change almost every week. Not just because of new trends appearing, but because after a while I seem to become more open  to styles that I would never have even considered wearing. Call it an experimental phase.

Grunge/90s grunge is one of these styles. I have always longed to be that girl who can have bleached blonde hair, wear high waisted mom jeans, a flannel shirt and Lennon style glasses and still look effortlessly cool. Take Drew Barrymore as an example.

Now the typical 90s fashion trends have started to pop up all over the high street, and I'm loving it. Firstly, it's given me an excuse to wear all my childhood scrunchies again, I even found an identical to American Apparel's black velvet scrunchie, just saying.
Now I just need to invest in an oversized leather jacket, high waisted denim shorts and a bum-bag and I'll be all good to go to channel my inner Drew Barrymore.




Overall, wearing the 90s style is quite a leap out of my comfort zone (wearing all black..) but I'm enjoying every minute of it and hope this trend is here to stay.

WHITE

A key SS14 trend I've been loving so far. I would definitely say that I'm a monochrome lover when it comes to clothes, it's a rare occasion to see me dressed in all colour without at least one black or white item. 

MILAN.

So a few weeks ago me and two of my friends went on a spontaneous trip to Milan. It's such a beautiful city with so much amazing culture, architecture and of course fashion.
